‘What’s the 11th item on your bucket list?’ says the prompt in the WordPress book.

I don’t really have a ‘bucket list’, it’s not really a term we use in the UK. I have a very long ( and growing ever longer) list of house renovation to do and that seems to eat up all the money that’s going spare in our house and will do for the rest of eternity – or so it seems!

If I had a bucket list I’m not sure I’d ever get to 11 items. That may seem very unimaginative and unambitious but I’m fairly happy with my lot and would rather focus on the here and now rather than the things that might (or might not) happen one day. I think it’s also the case that I’m so busy with what’s currently going on in my life that I don’t really think that far ahead. There’s also a little person in my life who I have hopes for and, to me, my wants seem slightly selfish when I consider what I want for him.

So for now I’m happy with a spa weekend with the Uni girls and a bit of time to myself to be creative, that’ll do me!
