Positive Behaviour Support for Teachers

I’ve been thinking about setting up a new blog for a little while now. This one is for my personal interests that, as my blog name suggests, keep me out of mischief!

In my professional life I’m a peripatetic Behaviour Support Teacher working with a number of schools to promote positive behaviour support strategies in order to meet each pupil’s individual social, emotional and mental health needs and to reduce the number of pupils who are excluded.

Having read the recent media reports from the Education Union conferences, a couple of which you can read here and here, and having spent some time searching the Internet for high quality advice that can be applied within the British school system, I think there’s a need for a blog that will offer school staff accessible strategies that they can use in their classroom and wider school community.

Below there’s a link to a survey, if you work within a school in the UK, please click through and answer the questions, it’ll only take 3 minutes of your time. This will help me to assess what interest there would be in advice of this kind and where you would prefer to access it. The survey is available here.

Thanks for reading, Claire
