It’s my brother in law’s birthday this week and I’ve sorted out his present online so I just needed to sort out a birthday card. When I’d been making my sewn canvas I’d been wondering if I could use the same type of technique to make a birthday card. After buying some wooden letters I’ve become slightly obsessed with personalised cards.
I drew round the letters on the reverse side (so that I could erase the lines afterwards) of the card and then used a pin to poke holes through following the lines. I’m quite impressed with how it turned out!

We used to do this with bits of paper when we were kids. Mind you, it wasn’t as well done as yours and I would never have thought to do one on a card. It’s simple, but looks very effective. Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving a lovely comment.
