How often have you glanced at your calendar and suddenly realised that you need a birthday card for a friend?
Have you ever arrived at work and noticed a colleague has a desk filled with birthday cards and you didn’t know it was their special day?
Today we’re going to make a birthday card ready for an unexpected birthday. You could keep it pinned to the calendar or in your desk drawer so you’re ready when you need it.
I like making birthday cards because it gives me a creative outlet and means I don’t spend a fortune in greeting card shops.
You don’t need any particular drawing skills, there’s a couple of links below to cards I’ve made that might inspire you.
For those of you who’ve been inspired to create a birthday card either today or in the past, how did it go? How do you feel now that you’ve done it? Add your comments below.
Come back tomorrow for your next nudge into productivity.

It looked really effective with a LED candle placed inside it so the light shone through the holes!
