Day 33: Think Global, Act Local

“Think global, act local.” Write a post connecting a global issue to a personal one.

 

Plastic bags drive me mad. No, wait, shop assistants who think that you should only pack about 3 items into a bag or should use a carrier bag for something that is already in a bag drive me mad.

I try really hard not to come home from a shopping trip with a handful of plastic bags and always have a couple of folded up tote bags in my handbag.  They’re so much stronger, don’t hurt your hands, are far prettier to look at and are much less likely to end up littering than your average plastic bag.  I tend to make mine from bits of left over fabric left in my stash and they’re so easy to make.
