A really helpful site for charting out lettering

In my post yesterday about Little Monsters for Little Monsters I wrote about how I chart out lettering when I’m knitting.  The mathematical part of my brain actually enjoys drawing it all out on squared paper but my font is always the same…  I had a look round on the internet and found this Cross Stitch Writing Tool that allows you to write words or phrases in different fonts; there are six in all but if you use Siena, Amsterdam, Dublin or Madrid you will be able to use it as a knitting chart.  Just remember that each cross on the chart represents a stitch in the ‘writing’ colour when you’re knitting.

It’s showing as individual letters on here, but when you use the site it allows you to print out the phrases as one long strip.
