When you were 16, what did you think your life would look like? Does it look like that? Is that a good thing?
Life mostly looks like I imagined.
I always thought I would have children, though I thought I would have more than one by now, however circumstances have conspired against us slightly there.
I thought I would be married; although I was very good friends with my husband to be when I was 16 I never thought I’d end up married to him however my father will tell anyone who listens that he knew we’d end up together!
I knew I’d be a teacher, I’d been so inspired by my secondary music teacher that it was destiny.
I thought I’d still be living in my hometown of Derby and, despite popping off to another city for university, I’ve come back and I’m now living less than a mile away from my teenage home.
I thought I would probably continue with my studies and I’ve gone on to gain a Masters and other postgraduate qualifications.
I’m pretty content with how life has panned out. I don’t like a great deal of drama or change in my life and I think the fact that I have followed the path I thought I would satisfies that.
Married with kids @ 24!
