Pear and Chocolate Turnover

Sometimes all you need is chocolate.  This was a late night snack one day when I needed a little sometime at supper time and the lonely looking pear in the fruit bowl didn’t look very appealing on its own!  It’s incredibly simple to do.

You will need:

20cm x 20cm piece of ready made puff pastry,

Chocolate spread

One slightly suspect looking pear.

Preheat the oven to 200°C and lightly grease a baking tray.  Spread a thick layer of chocolate spread over the puff pastry.  Slice the pear and lay it over half of the chocolate.  Fold the puff pastry in half and seal the edges.  You could brush it with milk/ egg but I didn’t bother.  Bake in the over for the time specified on the puff pastry box.

Enjoy – but remember the mixture inside will be very, very hot!

  1. I love pears and chocolate together. It seems fitting that this is a recipe for one turnover, as I don’t think I’d want to share mine 🙂

However, I appreciate your sharing the recipe!
