In the past I have always kept a ‘Best Things Today’ spread in my Bullet Journal. Over the past couple of years, when I’ve probably needed it most, it’s fallen by the wayside. As a result, I’ve decided to take a different approach this year.
As part of my Christmas present from my parents, I received this Paperchase undated planner. I already have an academic year diary to manage my appointments and events, and I use a Bullet Journal for everything else so this gift was a little bit redundant. Whilst scrolling on Instagram, I noticed an idea for a jar that you filled with paper notes of good things that have happened each day and inspiration sprang into my mind for the purpose of this planner. I’m going to use it for my ‘Best Things Today’.
I’m going to keep it on my bedside table and each day I’m going to note down good things, achievements and things that have made me smile.
Each week there is a slightly different layout and I’ve begun to personalise it further by adding a bit of colour, either in little doodles or using Zentangle patterns. There’s also a few journaling type activities each month which I’ll add to as I go along.
It seems like a very long time since I did any Zentangles and I really enjoyed the few I did here as I set up for January.
I’d got a bit fed up with those circles by the time I’d finished that last one!
How do you remember good times?
