If you could have any author –living or dead – write your biography, who would you choose?
Over the past few weeks I’ve done so much academic reading for my National Award for Special Educational Needs Coordinators that I’ve forgotten what it’s like to read for pleasure! I’ve enjoyed reading texts related to my case study but it’s been a means to an end and, hurrah, I’ve finally finished my first assignment! Well almost finished – I’ve just got to sort out and reference all of the appendices, but I’m almost there!
Who would I choose? I really enjoy the writing of JK Rowling and had started ‘The Casual Vacancy’ before it was so rudely interrupted by my assignment – so she’d be a possible. I also like the style of Michael Connolly, but there’s no way I’ve caused or solved enough crimes to be in one of his books.
If she were still here I’d choose my dear Granny. I’ve written before (here and here) about the book she wrote of her life history and she chooses wonderful anecdotes to bring the words to life. I know she’d do a great job.
