Do you feel like you “get” social media, or do you just use it because that’s where all your friends and family are?
I’m slightly addicted to Facebook as, with friends and family spread all over the globe, it’s a great way to keep in contact. I do now keep a slight distance from current colleagues as it allows me to keep a more professional relationship with them.
I’ve dabbled in Twitter, but I’m too busy to follow too many people. Most of the tweets that I follow are work related, but that helps as I don’t have to trawl the Internet to find stuff. I also use Youtube to find film clips for work.
I’m an avid Pinner and read blogs until the early hours. But other than that I’m not really involved. Too much information is a bad thing and I can only just cope with the amount I do have!
Great question.. To me Facebook is a place to see photos of family and learn what they’re up to. It is nice to see how colleagues and friends are without the long conversations that just wouldn’t happen if we weren’t connected on it. I barely use Twitter and find it a bit busy for me, Pinterest is great for ideas. I love WordPress and blogging as writing is my true love.
