‘Omen’ says the prompt at Sunday Scribblings. Wikipedia says that this is a phenomenon that is believed to foretell the future, often signifying the advent of change
This is a difficult one, as I’m not a great believer in superstitions. I tend to think that you make your own luck in life and everything happens for a reason – normally based on some decision you’ve made in the dim and distant past, although it’s sometimes hard to work out how it’s all connected! I don’t tend to waste time worrying about what something could mean, preferring to get on with life and see what happens.
The quote above is one I’ve got ‘pinned’ on my ‘Words to live by’ board on Pinterest and I think it sums up pretty much how I feel about a lot of things.

I agree I am not superstitious either. However I should point out that “sence” in your quote should be “sense”, I wonder whether there is an omen in that? (I guess you copied it from someone’s blog.)

It’s a picture with no apparent link. As a teacher it makes me want to get my red pen out!

Did you know Claire, that professing to be non-superstitious can be considered to be a superstition in its own right. By being superstitious, things may turn out differently, so to obviate that possibility it is safest to say one is non-superstitious. So round and round we go.
