January Plan With Me Challenge

I love a challenge and I love spending time being inspired by ideas on social media, so the Plan With Me Challenge hosted by Kara, Jessica and Kim over on Instagram is my kind of fun!  I’ve been meaning to do a round up post of my responses to a set of monthly prompts ever since I started participating over a year ago!  Here’s the inspiration I shared on my IG account which you can follow here.

Planning sidekicks: bottom- household journal containing yearly cleaning overview, birthdays and anniversary list, meal ideas list and other stuff that I only refer to at home when doing my monthly overviews Middle- my current #bulletjournal a #leuchtturm1917 in yellow – I can always find this, no matter how cavernous my bag! Top- my running Journal. I track my training and create training plans for races. Papermate Ink Joys in black for writing, pink for January headers and red for collections. Meal planning- I have a list of meals that most of the family will eat (unless we've got a case of tired/ grumpy/ fussy/ awkward toddler on our hands) arranged by protein. I then plan our meals as I create my weekly layout taking into account what's happening at the end of the working day and into the evening. I make my online shopping list as I do that ready for completing my order the night before delivery. I've found I spend far less on food and throw hardly anything away. Who's ready for the February #PlanWithMeChallenge?!? Hosted by Kim @tinyrayofsunshine, Jessica @prettyprintsandpaper, and Kara @boho.berry, the #PlanWithMeChallenge is a way for us to share the HOW and WHY of our planning systems each month.

ALL planner types are welcome to join in the fun!

Here’s how to participate:

1. Repost this graphic on social media along with the #PlanWithMeChallenge hashtag to spread the word.
2. Download and print Kara’s printable to keep track in your planner. (It’s available in the Facebook group linked in bio)
3. There is a new prompt for each day of the month. Each prompt is completely open to interpretation. (Feel free to skip prompts if they do not apply to your own life.)
4. Post a photo to Instagram or in our Facebook group (link in bio) responding to each day’s prompt. In addition to the photo, describe the HOW and WHY behind your response. There is no need to tag the hosts in your photos.
5. Join us when you can! Don’t worry if you miss a day or join in late… this is supposed to be fun :)
6. On Instagram: Join the conversation by searching the #PlanWithMeChallenge hashtag and liking, commenting on others’ posts.
7. On Facebook: Join in the conversation by heading to that day’s “post of the day” and liking and replying to others’ posts.
8. Remember to have fun!
