Once again my fruit and vegetable box has been the source of inspiration for this recipe. Some lovely plums in the box this week along with a very odd looking vegetable which I’ve since discovered is a romanesco cauliflower!
Enough of the odd cauliflower and on to the plum and hazelnut tarts!
You will need:
- a piece of puff pastry measuring 12cm x 12cm,
- one plum,
- teaspoon of chopped hazelnuts
- teaspoon of runny honey
Score a square in the middle of the puff pastry which leaves a border of about 2cm all the way around. Use a fork to prick inside this square. Slice the plum and arrange in a fan shape. Drizzle over the honey and sprinkle the nuts over the top Place in a 200°C oven for about 12-15 minutes until the puff pastry turns golden brown.
