I can’t believe how long it has been since I was last here! Life definitely happened!
I originally started this blog as a place to share my creations, whether that was sewing, baking, or getting myself organised. Problem is, when you’re working full time, parenting two children with additional needs, discovering that you’re neurodivergent yourself and life seems to be moving at one hundred miles an hour around you, there’s little time to think, let alone create anything!
I think the last time I was here on a regular basis was before Covid and life has certainly changed since then. I’m no longer a teacher, though still working in education. I’m still a parent, but they’re both in double figures now. I rarely bake, mainly because my eldest seems to have inherited the baking genes and is often to be found pottering in the kitchen. I’m rarely sewing because I have been home working since Covid, which has turned my craft room into an office. I’m still planning though and that’s what’s help me keep it together through the rest of the madness that’s going on in my life. I’ve been sharing my planning ideas, including my current planner stack above, on Instagram @keeps.me.out.of.mischief – those of you who’ve been here for a long time will notice the slight change as my original account got hacked.
One of the (many) things I’ve learned about my neurodivergent brain, is that it needs novelty and it needs creativity, so I’m going to come back here and see what effect being creative and making new things has on my well being.
First I need to re-teach myself how to use WordPress – give me a minute!
