October Sleep 8: Yoga

For me, yoga gives me a chance to shut off from new information so that my brain has a chance to process everything that has happened during the day. I’m not one for yoga classes, my competitive nature takes over and I want to do everything perfectly which almost misses the point of me doing it! I’d never get there either with a full time job and a busy family life. Instead, I’ve discovered the next best thing – Internet yoga. My current favourite is Yoga with Adriene on YouTube. She lets you go at your own pace in your own place and she can’t see if you don’t keep up! I always get to sleep much better on the evenings where I manage to fit in a yoga session.
