October Sleep 25: White Noise

My babies were both born prematurely and, when we were finally allowed to bring them home, the only way they would ever go to sleep is if there were some kind of background noise. The TV, the radio, the Hoover, the washing machine; they all worked.

I discovered a ‘white noise’ app that was the answer to my prayers. It seemed to block out enough of the unexpected noises around the house and let them sleep.

I even tried it, but I couldn’t get along with it and found earplugs were my answer! Just because it doesn’t work for me doesn’t mean that it won’t work for you!

For those of you who’ve been inspired to listen to white noise, either today or in the past, how did it go? How do you feel now that you’ve done it? Did it improve the quality of your sleep? Add your comments below.

Come back tomorrow for your next nudge into peaceful sleep.
