October Sleep 13: Stretch

At the end of a long, busy day all I want to do is to curl up in a ball in a nice warm bed and fall asleep. If I’ve done this you can pretty much guarantee that I’ll wake up in the middle of the night in exactly the same position I fell asleep in with my muscles fixed in that position. After a good stretch to get everything moving again I’m wide awake and take ages to get to sleep again.

Much better to have a good stretch before I get into bed – that seems to prevent it from happening and improves the quality of my sleep.
