Hands up who wanted to lie in bed just a little longer this morning 🙋♀️. It can be so tempting to laze about in bed at the weekend but we often pay for it later on in the evening when our bodies aren’t ready for rest because we haven’t been up long enough and perhaps not active enough for our bodies to be ready to sleep. Studies have shown that our body clocks respond to a regular pattern of waking so it might be worth putting your alarm elsewhere in your bedroom, like we thought about in day 3, to force yourself out of bed at a regular time.
For those of you who’ve been inspired to get up at the same time every day, either today or in the past, how did it go? How do you feel now that you’ve done it? Did it improve the quality of your sleep? Add your comments below.
Come back tomorrow for your next nudge into peaceful sleep.

I slept until 5:55pm today… I’ve been so tired all week but I really do need to start getting up at the same time even on weekends! Weekdays aren’t so bad because I have work and have to get up to go there xx

I slept until 9am which was quite an achievement for me because the kids were at their grandparents – never normally manage past 7am no matter what day of the week it is with my human alarms!
