A new month brings a new set of prompts. This month we’re focusing on improving our sleep. Each day I’ll post a gentle reminder of how you might be able to do this.
The science and our own experience show us that caffeine is a a stimulant which is great first thing when we might need it to get going in the morning, but not so good later in the day when it may prevent us from getting to sleep.
It can sometimes become a bit of a vicious circle, we don’t sleep because we’ve had too much caffeine and then we rely on it the next day to be productive.
Think about when you might be able to replace a caffeinated drink with something less stimulating and don’t forget about caffeine that’s hiding in food!
For those of you who’ve been inspired to avoid caffeine, either today or in the past, how did it go? How do you feel now that you’ve done it? Did it improve the quality of your sleep? Add your comments below.
Come back tomorrow for your next nudge into peaceful sleep.
