September Productivity Prompt Day 24: 2 Minute Tasks

How often do you notice a task that needs doing and say ‘I’ll do it later’?

How often do you complete a household task and think ‘that took a lot less time than I thought!’

I read about the ‘2 minute rule’ in a magazine when I had a young baby. The idea is that if you notice a task that will take less than 2 minutes to complete you just get on and do it, no procrastinating allowed! You can read about how effective I found it here.

Look around you, are there any two minute tasks you could complete right now? I can see a jigsaw that needs putting away and my coffee cup is empty! I’m getting on with them now – what could you do?

For those of you who’ve been inspired to complete a 2 minute task, either today or in the past, how did it go? How do you feel now that you’ve done it? Add your comments below.

Come back tomorrow for your next nudge into productivity.
